So, the intials, on the tape NMW or RMW, on the label...I never knew what those letters meant and Flammable is my club, lol!

I also believe that Flammable Liquid CD that was published by Planet Earth records was hardly ANY example of Flammable music...this is a great tape/download of the sounds of Flammable.

Awesome. (end of) The Shaker Song @ very start of side 1 is a true FL classic. One of the few records from that era I never got but really wanted. Some great, great old skool on here.

So I'm not Crazy.... this really did happen!!!! The audio has aged sooooo gracefully. Dig some of the harsh mixes too :) But especially LOVE some of that early Organ/Piano Sounds....That is THE SOUL of Early House Music!!!! Only felt/eXperienced when I was at UnderGround CHURCH of Flammable Liquid • Honest

When googling for "The Shaker Song" I seem to get every Shaker song except this one!

Man, what can I say? Flammable, of ALL of the parties, was the uber fly place. The vibe and people there just kicked. It was really the cream of the crop. I remember the flammable bead necklace with the logo pendant even! Even when the commercialism hit the scene a bit after Mars FM came out, Flammable still maintained the true LA Underground vibe. Sketch Pad was pretty tight, too! Oh yeah, I can listen to his live remix of Feel It over and over and over and over again. Anyone who's spun vinyl before can "read" exactly what he's doing with a Feel It record on each deck. BOMB STUFF. What's the name again of the track that comes right after Feel It? That track was, and still is, epic. I used to have it on vinyl... just can't remember the name. I wanna say "Acid" something... After hours parties were ALWAYS the best.

Friend of Big Steve the bouncer who used to work the door at Flammable, etc.

Awesome mix!! Doc brought some of the most secret beats I ever heard. The raw underground vibes at Flammable were never matched, in my opinion. I also have some other Doc mixes on tape: Sounds you can feel Deep Intense Paradise Flammable Grooves

wow, after listening to this mix I am wondering if it is indeed a Doc Martin mix.. There's an awful lot of old school techno on this, and from what I recall Doc wasn't one to play that much techno in a row.. can anyone validate the authenticity of this mix?

[…] techno, acid, UK garage and proper New York house on a journey into the wee hours. (Check out this live set from November of ’91.) Together they taught a generation the science of mixing, and educated us about the more refined […]

Flammable Liquid mixes still kick my ass, all these years later. I was at this one. And I still have the cassette tape. Just listening to the opening tracks here now is flooding me with amazing, awesome memories. Good times, to say the least! Some of the best in the L.A. underground.

WOWSERS! I'm late to this party by a few years but Holy Crap what a great thread! I recognize all of you too (Jamie Hans Omar and the one and only Baba Lou!) Flammable Liquid was epic. So was the 20 yr reunion BTW. I have some old mix tapes I'd love to contribute to this site- the Doc FL tape I have has "We're Gonna Play Some Jazz" at the end of side 1 - does anyone know what mix this is?
Josh
