Live In Manchester, by N-Joi, is as close as you can get to putting the sound and feeling of an old school rave on vinyl. This recording is off of my promo vinyl copy, that never had the picture cover. I always liked the picture cover though, so I grabbed an image of the cassette cover off of Discogs and put it up here.

I’ve also included a recording from a live N-Joi show that took place in Paris, France on October 24th, 1992. It’s a different set list than the Live In Manchester show, and unfortunately not all of the tracks from this performance were commercially released.

Panic Project, a label started by DJ Kingsize, has graciously provided their catalog to Knite Force Records for free distribution.

One of my favorite releases on the label was a reissue combining tracks from the absolute classic Yolk – Sunny Side UP EP’s. Everybody wants to be a DJ…

Early 90’s hardcore label Kniteforce Records has released their entire back catalog on MP3 completely free of charge. You can read the complete details on label owner Christopher Howell’s (Luna-C) decision to do this on Kniteforce Revolution.

Nicky Dungeons – Lets Go Back !! Acid House

It’s hard to believe that 1988 was 20 years ago. Nicky Dungeons has put together a fantastic audio and video mashup to celebrate that moment in time. It’s UK rave footage, but it doesn’t look much different than what I remember the late 80’s and early 90’s in Los Angeles feeling like.
