Scott Hardkiss – OM Labs (7-19-92)

This mixtape, by Scott Hardkiss, was recorded at OM Labs in Los Angeles, CA, in the summer of 1992. There are a few other tapes that were recorded during this session, which I’ll be posting later, that include mixes by: Robbie Hardkiss, Ernie Munson, Jon Willams and Wade Randolph Hampton.

Does anyone know where the vocal sample in the first song of side A comes from? The same song is also used in the David Lynch movie Lost Highway, but it isn’t on the soundtrack….
Inquiring minds wanna know…..

@ Dan… this is Liz Fraser from Cocteau Twins but that song is “Song to the Siren” rendition by group, This Mortal Coil (great album- It’ll End in Tears) One of my favorite’s of all time yet very haunting…
@Pedro808… I promoted for & was a host that night at CIRCA ’92 which was in April “92 (Easter Weekend). This was something Tef & the rest of the crew decided to do in the summer of ’92 @ OM but as far as I know, they were never made public until now. Enjoy!

The first song is: Burrito Revolution remix of Song to the Siren by Cocteau Twins. It was done by a guy name Hani who was living in Denver. I got my copy on April of 1992. One of my favorites. The B side is another rmx of Cocteau Twins Blue Bell Knoll.
