This is an untitled mix that was contributed by Josh McClintock. We believe it’s a 1991 mix by Barry Weaver, though we’re not 100% sure. It certainly has all of the characteristics of a Barry Weaver mix though — the dreamy intro, the train in the middle, lots of breakbeat, tight tight mixes, and an…

Mr. Buzz was a techno DJ from the early nineties. He was heavily inspired by Tony Largo in the late eighties and Doc Martin in the early nineties. He started a mixtape series called “Acid Hits” that he would pass around at parties from ’90 to ’93. These tapes were an awesome blend of early…

I liked the first three tapes in the Acid Junky mixtape series so much, I asked Josh McClintock if he’d mix a fourth especially for the site. I’m happy to share with you, 19 years after the original was recorded, a new addition to one of my favorite series of mixes. Josh McClintock – Acid…

I honestly feel blessed that I was able to experience and be a part of the LA scene back then, so many beautiful raw emotions get stirred up inside me every time I hear these tracks!
My 16 year old daughter tells me the “ravers” at her school talk about the “old” days of the scene, they say “ya man, shit was crazy back in 97 from what I hear”… if they only knew :)
Thanx for this upload and preserving one of the SOUNDTRACKS TO MY LIFE!
1love
