Steve Loria – Deep Space

As you may have noticed the site was unavailable for the past several days. I’m happy to say we’re up and running again thanks to the fine folks at Media Temple. If you notice anything that isn’t working as it should be, please let me know.
I had to change the RSS feed, so if you want to keep up to date on new posts be sure to subscribe.
Now back to the music…
This mixed tape by Steve Loria is from 1993 and was released at the same time as Chris Hyde’s – Milk & Cookies. The j-card designs for both Deep Space and Milk are my favorite of any mixed tapes. Thanks again to Chris for letting us know that Mike Messex did the artwork on these.

This is one of my favorite deep house tapes. I went to a few of the deep space weekly things. Very good times.
One of the classics on here is “Dream Drums” by Lectroluv.
I will listen again, I know I know some of these, but the one I really want ID’ds is the one that goes “Just Let Yourself Go.”

Dude,
This tape is in my collection! Loria ruled back in the day! He and Doc were sick. I went to lots of raves where the spun and they never disappointed. Good times. Anyone remember Beat Non-Stop on Melrose? What about Street Sounds and DMC? I sued to go there to pick up flyers. Man, those were the good ol’ days! Cheers to this site.

I think that track is Black Machine “Jazz Machine”. I believe Doc uses the original album mix.
